Christmas smorgasbord 2023
Father Frost has a firm grip on Stockholm and the cold wind is blowing around the City Hall. The door to Stadshuskällaren is ajar and as you enter the grand hall, the sweet smell of mulled wine, Christmas food and festive music welcomes you.
”Stadshuskällarens” classic Christmas smorgasbord or buffet is served, from the last weekend of November. It is a traditional Swedish Christmas smorgasbord that also offers surprises. The whole buffet is divided in three parts, a buffet of pickled herring and cold meats, delicious hot dishes and a “gottebord” of sweets and cookies. Every course and plate is composed and prepared in our kitchen with sustainable and carefully selected ingredients. The whole restaurant is ”dressed” in Christmas and the historic rooms is decorated with Christmas flowers, garlands, Christmas trees and trimmings.

Christmas is a real food festival and Stadshuskällaren’s generous Christmas table consists of herring and fish, cold meats, cheese and bread, hot dishes and a dazzling dessert table full of sweets. Everything on the Christmas table is composed and cooked in our kitchen with carefully selected components. As usual at Stadshuskällaren the Christmas smorgasbord includes game and local food from forest and land. We also arrange special diets and vegetarian options upon request.
The Christmas sweets! On a very own part of the Christmas table, it is made up of goodies from our own bakery – everything from gingerbread cookies, Christmas candy to cakes and desserts.

Christmas drinks
For the Christmas table, we have produced a drink package (1 mulled wine, 2 glasses of beer or 2 glasses of wine and 1 snaps), we recommend it especially for larger groups. In addition, we have a solid wine list and a wide range of beers, snaps homemade mulled wine and many non-alcoholic options.
